so most seniors' parents encourage them to apply to as many colleges as they want and have them choose the best one to go to...
mine won't let me apply to more than TWO and are making me go to the one closest to home (which is the shittiest, of course) because they will "miss me too much."
as much as i'm sure i will love csun... if i can go somewhere better, why shouldn't i?

so it is only 9:38 am on a beautiful morning and it is already the worst day of my summer.
so about a month and a half ago i recieved a ticket for rolling through a stop sign and my court date was for today at 8:30 am. i woke up at 7 just to make sure id get there on time. so first i am driving up and down van nuys blvd... i cant find the courthouse anywhere. when i finally do find it i am late so i run up to where the room is.
i get there and an officer looks at me and asks "are you here alone?"
"yeah. my parents didnt wanna come. they say that if im old enough to get a ticket then im old enough to pay for it myself" i replied.
he looked at me and said "well i agree with that rule that your parents have but the court does not. go in and see what they say."
so i went inside and gave them all my information and everything they needed and sat down and started to read. they called my name and i definitely thought too soon when i couldnt believe how quickly it went by.
the lady at the desk said to me "we need proof that your parents saw this ticket. either bring them back with you or have them write and sign a letter saying that they saw the ticket. we need to see you back in the next 3 to 4 days."
i just looked at her, grabbed my stuff and walked away. i dont remember the last time i was so stressed and angry so early in the morning. and on top of it im sick.
i am just praaaaaaaaying my summer gets better!
on the bright side... i cleaned out my car!

so yesterday had to have been a full moon because it was by far the weirdest day of my life. the alarm at my work went off after we had already turned it off, my dog who never barks barked for like 5 minutes straight, we found a cut under my dogs chin, and my little simon started going blind in his right eye. the weirdest part of my day, however, was the attack of the killer fly.
(for those of you who may not know, i am deathly afraid of flies.)
the story:i ran to mcdonalds for lunch and got a cheeseburger to bring back to work. when i got to work, i opened the burger to eat it when a fly came shooting out at me and chased me around my work. i had to hide in a closet when my boss told me he captured it but it was still alive! he picked it up to see if it was dead. he obviously assumed it was because what kind of fly allows you to pick it up? well sure enough, it was very much alive so my boss went to place it down on the counter to kill it when it crawled onto my phone.
the conclusion:he picked it up off the antena of my phone, opened the phone, put the fly inside and closed my phone. it was one of the scarriest, most disgusting events of my life.

i just went through my lj history and deleted all the entries that had anything to do with alcohol. i dont really know what i was thinking when i started drinking but i certainly know what im thinking now that im ending it. not being able to see anything and puking for 10 hours straight is not really my idea of fun.
so im done... im so over it. i do not need alcohol to have fun and i will not drink again for a long, long time.

today at work almost every person who walked up to the counter looked at the picture of jacob that we have on the counter next to the register from when he was two and then looked at me and asked "is that your son?" after a while of explaining that hes my brother and its my dads store blah blah... i finally just started saying yes. im sorry but do i look like a fucking mother to you? oh well.

just dropped my parents off at the airport!! so i pretty much have a house and three cars to myself til sunday... hell yes!!
last night i went w/ brittany and shari to the ryan cabrara concert! it was really fun! we were on some list to get in so it was cool cause we got to cut this huge line and just go straight in.
highlight of the night:
problem: there were no cameras allowed but we really wanted to bring one in but they were checking very thouroughly
solution: well i was wearing a shirt w/ a built in bra so i didnt bother putting one on which equals a little storage space so sure enough we shoved a disposable camera in between my boobs and buttoned my jacket over it as the girl in line next to us lended her advice.
that was incredible
so we ended up getting lots of pics and having a great time! now im off to run errands and attempt to keep myself entertained w/ out getting into any trouble! wish me luck!
